Characteristics: Soft, subtle and slightly grassy large-leaved green tea traditionally drunk in Japan.

Harvested from the lower shoots of the plant, Bancha contains up to 70% less caffeine than other 'Gyokuro' teas which are usually harvested from young shoots.
