Description: Kenya AB Asali is a bright and vibrant coffee sourced from smallholder producers in Nyeri County, within Kenya’s Central Highlands, primarily through the Tambaya Coffee Factory near Mukurwe-ini.

Grown at high altitude and processed using the traditional washed method, the ripe cherries are handpicked, carefully sorted and pulped before being soaked for an additional 8–16 hours in clean water. This Kenyan-style processing helps create exceptional clarity while preserving the coffee’s characteristic acidity.

Expect notes of raspberry, orange, blackberry and green apple, balanced by sweeter flavours of toffee and lemon. The result is a clean, lively and aromatic cup with a refreshing acidity and a smooth, sweet finish.

The coffee is predominantly made up of Kenya’s renowned SL28 and SL34 varieties, with the high-altitude growing conditions and rich soils of Nyeri contributing to its distinctive character.

Available as whole beans or ground and freshly roasted in Aberdeen.
